TI58C, the programmable calculator!

the TI-82 Stats.fr

Why, on this site specially dedicated to the TI58C and its close family, talk about the TI-82 Stats.fr which is not from the 80s and is not not use the AOS language of the old TI?

I found my son's calculator, the one he was using twelve years ago (2009) and I tried to see what I could do with it.

I was not only surprised to find the same sensations and the same pleasure as forty years ago when I discovered my TI58C.
In addition, a cable allowing connection to a PC accompanied the TI-82 Stats.fr ...

I was therefore able to transfer the programs from the calculator to the computer and vice versa, knowing that there are various tools that can be used under Windows (and Linux) : emulators, compilers, program editors and, of course, transfer software.

the Machine

The TI-82 Stats.fr is equipped with a Z80 processor and a memory of 32 KB including 28 KB user.
The screen with a dimension of 96 x 64 pixels allows a graphic display and also an alphanumeric display
on 8 lines of 16 characters.
It allows you to manage alphanumeric or numeric data, tables, lists ... and has many mathematical, statistical, financial, geometric functions ...

The TI-82 Stats.fr is in fact a French TI-83.
The keyboard is in French as well as a part of the language TI Basic.
"ClrHome" on TI-83 becomes "EffEcr" on TI-82 Stats.fr but " If ... Then ... End "does not change!
The programming language is TI Basic as standard, but you can also use the Z80 assembler (ASM Z80 < / i>).

The ROM version number of the TI-82 Stats.fr is 1.11fr7.
